Results From Civic Elections Start To Come In


VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) - Will Vancouver voters make Peter Ladner and the NPA pay for an 'in-camera' loan to Olympic Village developers? Has Gregor Robertson pushed the issue too far, and mp4 camera have it backfire on him? The polls have closed and some early numbers should start trickling in shortly.
Looking at some races across the region, five candidates are running for the mayor's office in both Abbotsford and Delta.
Long time Abbotsford mayor George Ferguson is not seeking re-election. Not one of the five candidates running is on council right now. George Peary is likely the highest profile candidate. He's a former school principal, who spent 18 years on council.
In Delta, Lois Jackson, mayor since 1999 and usb pc camera zs0211 first elected to council in 1972, faces four challengers. Jackson is running with two council candidates for the Delta Independent Voters Association.
Four candidates are running for mayor in West Vancouver, including incumbent Pamela Goldsmith-Jones.
There are three running in Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam, Port Moody, Maple RidgeRichmond. In Port Coquitlam, the council race may be more interesting. Mayor Scott Young, who faced calls for his resignation after pleading guilty to assault, is running for a council seat.
